Adaptive-Reuse\u00a0University\u00a0Facility,\u00a0Spring 2025,\u00a0158,077\u00a0sqft\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The University of Oregon\u2019s College of Design has\u00a0dispersed across campus,\u00a0fractured into\u00a0multiple\u00a0campuses.\u00a0The re-design of Lawrence Hall\u00a0will revive the interdisciplinary culture which\u00a0has historically defined the college. The\u00a0proposal preserves some existing\u00a0structures\u00a0and\u00a0includes the construction of two masses which\u00a0adjoin\u00a0the existing\u00a0structure. This\u00a0proposal focuses on\u00a0developing\u00a0the in-between spaces connecting the existing to new construction, focusing on\u00a0daylighting\u00a0and creating social spaces.\u00a0Each of the three primary connections has an individual spatial\u00a0identity, serving a different function\u00a0for the\u00a0diverse population of the college of design.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
